Construction Layout

Construction Layout: Construction layout or stake out in industry terms is the process of establishing and marking the proposed position of buildings, roadways, drainage structures, etc. This stake out consists of establishing exact horizontal and vertical control points assuring the contractor that he will be constructing the improvements in accordance to the design plans. DMC Associates, Inc. Land Surveyors has the ability to perform construction layout from the simplest of projects to the highly complex geometric layouts.

Foundation Location Survey

Foundation Location Survey: A survey done to collect the positional data on a foundation that has been poured and is cured. This is done to ensure that the foundation was constructed in the location, and at the elevation, authorized in the plot plan, site plan, or subdivision plan.

Final As-Built Survey

As-Built Survey:  An As-built survey shows improvements to the land as they exist at a particular point in time.  As-built surveys are conducted several times throughout the duration of a construction project.  Most municipalities require as-built surveys to verify that site improvements were made in accordance with approved plans.  As-built surveys may be required for nearly every type of land project, from roadways to utility improvements and building construction.  In addition to being required, as-built surveys are extremely valuable to property owners and their contractors.  As-built surveys help property owners plan future projects, protect their interests, and document project progress.  During the course of any construction project it is important to record and document all improvements as they are constructed.  DMC Associates, Inc. maintain constant contact with site contractors to insure that all improvements are recorded and documented.
